What We Collect
Workaholic is a local-first, no-account, no-backend application. Nothing you type into the app leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.
Stored Locally
All task lists, caffeine logs, momentum scores, and settings live exclusively in a local database on your phone (SwiftData). We do not have access to this data and it is never uploaded to any server.
Sharpen (Social Accountability)
When you choose to pair with another Workaholic user via Sharpen, the following is shared between paired devices through our backend:
- Task completion status (which tasks are done or open)
- Total caffeine consumed for the day (a single number in mg)
The following is never shared under any circumstances:
- Individual drink names, timestamps, or caffeine amounts
- Clear-by, sleep window, or momentum score
- Any calibration data (age, weight, height — which are discarded immediately)
Sharpen works via a 6-character code you generate and share privately. There is no directory, no search, no contacts integration.
RevenueCat
Workaholic uses RevenueCat for subscription management. RevenueCat receives an anonymous device identifier for purchase verification. No health, task, or caffeine data is transmitted to RevenueCat.
What We Do Not Collect
- No email, phone number, or account credentials (there is no account)
- No analytics SDKs, no crash reporters, no third-party tracking
- No location data, contacts, photos, or health data
- No advertising identifiers
Caffeine Estimates
Caffeine half-life and clearance estimates are computed from published scientific literature (Drake et al. 2013, EFSA 2015, FDA dietary guidelines). They are estimates, not medical advice.
Your Rights
Since we hold no user data, there is nothing to delete, export, or correct. Your data exists only on your device. Deleting the app removes all data.
